Code Of Ethics

We abide by the National Association for College Admission Counseling’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice in guiding students and families and adhere to the NACAC Statement of Students’ Rights and Responsibilities in the College Admission Process.

In most cases the college application is the first written agreement between the student and an institution. College admissions committees expect that the applicant author their own college application. That is not to say that students should not seek editors and/or advisors while preparing their applications. It is essential that students report honestly and accurately within their entire application. Admissions committees can and sometimes fact check the authenticity of the materials included within the application. Dishonesty or embellishment can result in the revocation of an application. It is essential that students paint an honest picture of their personality, accomplishments and aspirations. An admission offer can be rescinded if information is found to be untruthful.
