Randi Marcus, M.S.
Randi Marcus is an expert college admissions counselor who has counseled over 7,000 students in her 23 years as an academic adviser and college counselor. As the Director of College Counseling Departments in elite preparatory schools, Randi has helped students find their best college fit. Her background as a high school college counselor, university admissions officer, and college advisory board member positions her to offer students the benefits of her expertise of knowing how to navigate through the competitive admissions process. For the past 15 years as an independent college admissions consultant, Randi has conducted college admissions seminars, served on college admissions panels at national college counseling conferences, presented at standardized test preparatory companies, and facilitated information sessions on the college search and admissions process throughout the US.
Randi emphasizes a holistic approach to the college counseling process and begins by identifying a student’s needs, talents, and postsecondary goals. Students need to embark upon the college admissions process with feelings of confidence, success, and self-worth. There is a college for every student!
To keep current with changing college admissions trends and criteria, Randi maintains relationships with college admissions deans and has visited over 400 colleges and universities throughout the US. She regularly attends national and regional college admissions conferences to keep pace with the changing college admissions landscape. Her experience working in admissions at the University of Florida and as a former advisory counseling board member at Georgetown University has helped her guide students to gain college admissions to top-tier colleges, Ivy League universities, selective public universities, and colleges that support students with learning differences. Her priority in working with students is to help them find the college that best fits their academic goals and lifestyle.
During her tenure working in high school, Randi served as the MC for ESPN’s National Signing Day for NCAA athletes. She has worked with hundreds of student-athletes recruited to D1 and D3 universities.
As a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling, the College Board, the Independent Educational Consultants Association, and an ACT council member, Randi is part of a professional network of educators, college counselors, psychometric testing specialists, and college admission deans.
Randi studied college counseling at Stanford University and Harvard University. She earned an MS degree in counseling with high honors and is certified in addiction and substance abuse.
As a parent of four adult children who went through the college search and application process, she is keenly empathetic to parents as they embark on this journey. Randi’s children attended Ivy League and top-tier undergraduate universities, medical school, dental school, and law school.
